HOMELESSNESS SERVICE FOR ASYLUM SEEKERS AND FAMILIES WITH UNCERTAIN IMMIGRATION STATUS
This program provides housing, maintenance and tenancy support, as well as wrap-around services to assist asylum seeker women and families in finding homes and settling into Australia.

Prevent asylum seekers and families with uncertain immigration status from entering short-term crisis accommodation
Provide medium term accommodation and the supports to enable people to sustain accommodation in the longer term
Support women and families with uncertain immigration status
MARSS will support eligible clients to find a suitable tenancy, and advocate of their behalf. MARSS will then provide support on a tenancy, or maintenance issues, and can provide financial assistance to cover the rent and utility expenses. If not possible, MARSS refers clients to social housing or Investors Can Help. All clients will receive wrap-around support from a case manager:
Needs assessment and ongoing case management plan
Assistance with rental and utility payments
Warm referrals to programs to support any issues
Education, training and English language support
Social supports
Health and wellbeing
Assistance in obtaining the ACT Services Access Card
