
PASS is a program that can help you if you are a student from a non-English speaking background who is in high school, college CIT/TAFE or at university. PASS helps students who are between 12 and 25 years old.

Who are the tutors?
- Many PASS tutors are university students who are studying for a variety of different degrees and specialise in various subjects.
- Several tutors are recent graduates who have started working. Some of our tutors are experienced professionals.
- Some are retired members of the community with all sorts of different experiences wishing to make a positive contribution to Canberra.
- The tutors have an understanding of the best ways to help students with their homework and assignments.


When and where can you get help?
PASS is open from Tuesday to Thursday (3:30pm—6:30pm) during the ACT secondary school term. You can visit here after school to get free help with your homework and study.

- Doing your homework
- Reading, writing, speaking and listening
- Writing essays, reports and journals
- Acquiring study skills
- Studying school subjects, such as maths and science
- Learning new skills, such as typing and using the library
