About Our Programs
MARSS provides a variety of programs and services all aimed at integrating migrants and refugees seamlessly into Australian society. Our services cover a wide array of areas from settlement of new arrivals, career development seminars, driver training courses, English language courses, academic tutoring programs, and many more. Humanitarian Settlement Services
The Humanitarian Settlement Services program is MARSS project for the initial settlement and support of humanitarian clients upon arrival to Australia. This program is funded and supported by the Department of Social Services.
Migrant Support Services
The Migrant Support Services program is for migrants and refugees who have been in Australia for over 5 years. MSS provides assistance with filling in forms, accessing health services, dealing with government agencies, referrals to lawyers, and much more.
Program for After School Studies
PASS is a program that provides volunteer tutors to 8-25 year old students from non-English speaking backgrounds at locations in Belconnen, Gungahlin and Civic.
Community Development Programs
The Community Development Program assists migrants and refugees with long-term integration into the Canberra community. The CDP handles projects such as career development, language skills, tutoring, driving lessons, sports programs and more!
Settlement Services Program
The Settlement Grants Program provides free settlement assistance through casework, provision of information, referrals, and advocacy services to newly arrived migrants and humanitarian visa holders.
Team Harmony training sessions are open to all MARSS clients. If you are interested in trying out the sport, come along to any of the training sessions listed below. MARSS covers all registration fees, equipment, and coaching! All you need to bring along is yourself!
